11×14” Fine Art Print of original charcoal work “Juniper” - original oil on canvas (11×14”) 2025
About: This was a commissioned piece by a very patient client who gave me almost complete creative control, only requesting it incorporate nature in some way. The painting did not come easily, and after a few initial passes, I had to set it aside for awhile. One night, as happens often, I was almost asleep and had a waking dream of it. I saw the painting finished, but the woman was turned away from me. I had been struggling with her face. Then it came alive, like a film and she turned to look at me. The painting came out exactly as I saw her in that moment.
